FAQ
"How much time will this take? I’m already completely exhausted."
The Obsidian Keep isn’t meant to add to your plate, sister. Nothing is mandatory. No grades, no deadlines, no tests. It is intentionally designed to be a haven to restore your energy, not drain it. A playground for you to explore. A treehouse to escape to for real sisterhood. You participate at your own pace, dipping into the courses, attending circles, and engaging with sisters when you choose.
"What if I don't have an idea to help build the matriarchy?"
That’s okay! Lots of other women are bursting with ideas and they need women like you who just want to help. Whatever your experience, skills, and resources, there is a project, business, or movement you’ll be able to contribute to if you so choose. Matriarchy doesn’t need just visionaries – it needs builders.
"Do I have to join the Obsidian Serpents?"
Of course not! This is an elective deeper level of commitment if you wish to contribute to your local community of women. Rest assured, even if you do decide to join your local nest, you’re under no pressure to be the Founding Serpent and launch it. You can simply wait until it’s established and join if you wish to get involved.
"Is this a coaching program?"
Nope. No guru or coach hoping to lock you into pricey coaching programs. This is a fortress for serious unlearning and serious sisterhood. I’ll never try to sell you on 1-to-1 coaching or mentorship. You’ll learn just as much from your sisters as you will from me.
"I’ve never done conscious dance and I’m clumsy. Can I still do this?"
Absolutely! This isn’t a choreographed dance, and no one is judging you. Shadow Ignite is an internal, raw, and deeply cathartic personal practice meant to get you out of your head and into your body. It’s intuitive. There is no “wrong way.” You can move as wildly or as subtly as feels suitable for the archetype we’re embodying on a given night. Remember, in Shadow Ignite, you aren’t dancing “as you” – it’s a physical release as a new side of you “takes over.” We stomp, sway, shake, writhe, etc. No grace needed, just a willingness to surrender.
"Will the price of membership increase over time?"
Yes it will, but not for you! You’ll be locked in to your original sign-up price for as long as you choose to attend The Serpent Academy. The price of membership will increase as value is increased, as in the number of courses and events on offer. The pricing isn’t a reflection of value – but my desire to make it accessible to as many women who feel the call as possible. But the more women join and the more I offer, the more my expenses for running the Academy will increase. Joining at the time of opening is the lowest price it will ever be, with pricing reflecting my appreciation for Founding Members taking a chance and being the first to enroll, as well as it being at time when the Forbidden Fruit Library is the smallest.
