Safety and strength are non-negotiable. We equip ourselves with defense, legal knowledge, and resources to protect ourselves, our sisters, our children, and our planet. We stop asking for safety & enforce it ourselves.

- Women still devoted to patriarchal norms (deferential marriages, trad-wife culture, purity teachings)
- Love-and-light spirituality with no teeth, no trauma-informed practice, and no intention to build
- Businesswomen who value profit over people, want to build alone, and compete with other women
- Wellness influencers chasing aesthetic over action
- Soft feminism that avoids anger, politics, or liberation talk

One Sisterhood. Multiple Nests.
The Obsidian Serpents are a global network of women, connected through local chapters, or “nests.” The goal is to have a chapter in every major city across the globe for women to support their sisters in the real world while simultaneously connecting to their sisters around the world for cross-country impact. Once your application is accepted, you may be contacted by a local chapter organizer (if one is established in your area). If there is no local chapter established in your city, and you wish to be its organizer, indicate on your application. Until you can get involved with local chapter events, your priority as an Obsidian Serpent will be to bring more women into the fold, to act as an independent agent promoting the protection, empowerment & support of women, and to uphold the overall mission and goals of the Obsidian Serpents.

The Guardian
For women passionate about keeping the collective safe.
She prioritizes her sisters’ safety and rights. She takes initiative to create security of her nest.
Protective Energy
Cobras contribute by prioritizing activism & safety in all forms, pursuing real-world action & change.

-You have connections to others that could help the movement expand
-You wish to take on a leadership position in the Obsidian Serpents
Membership to The Obsidian Serpents is free, but donations are encouraged. Donations go towards venue reservations, event organizing & promoting, site maintenance, supplies for activities & support for chapter organizers. We’re in this together, each with her part to play.
Not Sure Which Serpent You Are?
ALL SERPENT TYPES CONTRIBUTE TO THE LOCAL & GLOBAL NEST IN THEIR OWN WAY- THERE IS NO HIERARCHY.
Regardless of which Serpent you are (right now), every sister can offer to co-host events, provide resources, and promote the sisterhood. So don’t stress about your “type,” – or mention it in your application and I can offer my opinion.
