They say women’s protector is men, but as any woman knows, it’s actually another woman who is more likely to step in to help. So how do you let a sister know that you need her help? Would you recognize signs or signals that another woman was asking you for assistance? Let’s change that: together. Join your sisters of Hilo, HI in learning important signs & signals to indicate distress and how to help. It’s up to women to save other women; are you ready to be the woman who helps?

Come learn not only a few signs to use, but also how to actually assist a sister in trouble as well as recognize signs of abuse, fear, and panic.  Location provided only to registrants.

Not every sister in trouble will ask for help, but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t need it. The only way women will truly be safe is if we protect each other. It’s not about accepting blame for men’s bad behaviors, and it’s definitely not about excusing it, but it is about recognizing that if men wanted us to be safe, we would be safe. It’s about realizing that no knight in shining armor is coming, but an Obsidian Serpent sister is.
